Ann De Vos was born and raised in Belgium. She is a former soloist dancer of The Royal Ballet, where she started her career in 1989 after winning the prestigious “Prix de Lausanne”. She danced for eight years under the direction of Antony Dowell and during this time she suffered career-threatening injuries to both of her feet and started Pilates, continuing practicing the technique ever since. It is Pilates that enabled Ann to further her career, this time as a contemporary dancer. She traveled around Europe working with various renowned choreographers and moved back to London in August 2008.
In 2006 she completed her Comprehensive Pilates Teacher training in London with BASI (Body, Arts and Science International) and has been teaching group and one-on-one classes since. Her clients include professional dancers, working parents, the recently retired and the elderly. Ann has great knowledge of body movement and awareness which she integrates into her classes and aims to improve her and her clients quality of life on a daily basis. Having a child of her own she has first hand knowledge of Pilates as a form of pre- and post-natal exercise.
